BECAUSE IT WILL BE A LEGITMATE COMPALINT!
CCP is going to nerf the miener income because tthey don't like miners very much. mission runner isk per our is never affected by mineral prices but why is miners?
anbd people tell me that I am contributing to the problem by mining too much and that yield buffs will not make me more money well THAT IS WRONG. Increasing mining yield will get me more money because I bring in more minerals per hour!
This just be my view on what's goin on. Back in the day lumberjacks would head out in the forests with their large saws and whatnot and they would cut down a section of forest. They would use that lumber as the building block to every day items from the houses that we live in to the furniture that we put in them houses. A few years goes by and someone comes up with this their idea that will revolutionize deforesting and one person can do the job of 5 people. This causes more wood, more materials and a chance for more money. But lo and behold before ya know it everyone is doin the same thing and creates an overabundance of materials all over the place. The buyers start to buy cheaper cause everyone's trying to unload their extra materials. So over time the prices goes down and its because materials are obtained quickly with new technology.
Now look at whats commin in the update. Updated ships with new to us technology that will help miners mine all they want. This will create a overabundance of materials that drives the prices down. Its all about supply and demand, when everyone creates a huge supply that over meets the demand, you will drive the prices downward. But is this CCP's fault or is it the miners fault? CCP is giving you the tools to mine more efficiently, what you do with the ore is up to you.
It reminds me of something else I hear around here. I hear that the bigger alliances are sitting on the tech moons and controlling the markets with the materiel's produced and how unfair it is. Look into the real world diamond market and see how many companies are holding Diamonds from the public to drive the demand up. I remember hearing that if they put all the diamonds they were holding on the market, the diamond market would crash because they are no where near as rare as a lot of people believe they are. Good or bad, this can be seen as unfair practice but just like in our game it also happens in the real world.
I really like how you can make comparisons like these in this game to real world happenings. Did the lumberjacks blame the company who created new chainsaws and equipment that made it easier to cut down the trees, or did they blame themselves for cutting down more trees then they used to in a fit of dollar per hour greed?
